About Ironwood

A Brooklyn painting company built on careful prep, honest pricing and job sites you would happily come home to.

Our story

Painters who treat your home like their own

Ironwood Build and Restore started with a roller, a ladder and a simple rule: prepare every surface as if the paint had to last twenty years. That care turned first jobs in Brooklyn brownstones into repeat customers and referrals across the borough.

Today our small crews paint homes, offices and rental properties across Brooklyn. We still write every quote by hand after seeing the space, still mask and drape before we paint, and still walk every wall with you before we call a job done.

Our principles

What we stand for

Careful preparation

Patching, sanding, priming and masking come standard on every job, because paint only looks as good as what sits underneath it.

Honest quotes

Every price is written down after a real visit, with the work, the paint and the schedule spelled out before you commit to anything.

Clean job sites

Floors covered, furniture draped, dust kept down and everything reset each evening, so your home still feels like home.

What our customers say

The crew covered everything, kept the dust down and left each room cleaner than they found it. The living room looks brand new.

Their color advice saved us from a shade that would have looked grey in our office light. They finished the whole floor over one weekend.

Quoted on Tuesday, painted the next week and done exactly on time. The walkthrough caught two tiny scuffs they fixed on the spot.

Frequently asked questions

Use the free-quote form or call us and we will visit at a time that suits you. After measuring and checking the surfaces, we send a written price that lists the work, the paint and the schedule.

A standard bedroom usually takes one to two days including prep and drying time between coats. Larger living rooms or rooms needing repairs can take three days, and we confirm the schedule in writing before we start.

We use premium low-odor, low-VOC paints from established brands, matched to each room: washable finishes for halls and kitchens, flat for ceilings and soft sheens for bedrooms. Most rooms are comfortable to sleep in the same evening.

Only small valuables and breakables. We move larger furniture to the center of the room, cover it with clean drapes and lay floor protection before painting, then put everything back when the paint has cured.

Yes. Every job carries a 2-year workmanship warranty covering peeling, blistering and excessive fading caused by our preparation or application. If a covered defect appears, we return and fix it free of charge.

Small interior jobs can usually start within one to two weeks, while larger or exterior projects depend on the season and weather. Tell us your preferred timing in the quote form and we will hold the closest available slot.
