Estimates and quotes
Every written quote follows a visit to your property and describes the agreed work, materials and schedule. Quotes are valid for 30 days. If you ask for extra work once painting has begun, we agree the additional price in writing before proceeding.
Scheduling
We confirm start dates in writing and do our best to keep them, but exterior work may shift with the weather and interior work may shift if hidden damage is uncovered. We will always tell you promptly and agree a new date with you.
Payment
A deposit of up to one third of the quoted price may be requested to reserve your dates and order materials. The balance is due when the final walkthrough is complete and you are satisfied with the work. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice.
Workmanship warranty
All painting work carries a 2-year workmanship warranty covering peeling, blistering and excessive fading caused by our preparation or application. The warranty does not cover damage from leaks, structural movement, misuse or normal wear, and paint manufacturer warranties apply to their products separately.
Customer responsibilities
Please clear small valuables, breakables and wall hangings from the work area before we arrive, and arrange access to water and power. We move and protect larger furniture and floors, but we cannot accept liability for items left unprotected after we have asked for them to be cleared.
Limitation of liability
Our liability for any claim connected to our work is limited to the price you paid for the affected job. Nothing in these terms limits rights you hold under applicable consumer law. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@ironwoodbuild.com.
